Nothing would be sent without your approval: every draft waits for you to review and approve it.

What it would do

The Restaurants storefront on Hirely would group agents designed for independent eateries, cafes, food trucks and small catering kitchens. Running a dining room leaves little time for the inbox, yet that inbox holds private-party inquiries, catering requests, vendor questions and guest feedback that all deserve a careful answer.

Agents in this storefront would prepare email drafts for those moments: a reply to someone planning a rehearsal dinner that asks about headcount, dietary needs and preferred dates; a polite answer to a supplier about a delivery change; a thank-you to a guest who wrote about a great anniversary meal.

A manager could, for example, receive a weekly draft summary of recurring questions from emails so the menu page or website FAQ can be updated.

Kitchens move fast. Drafts would reuse wording you approve, such as your large-party policy. Questions about allergies or dietary safety would always come to you; drafts would not say a dish is safe for an allergy or free of an allergen. Decisions about pricing, menus and availability would stay with you.

How it could fit your week

Think about a Friday in December. A company emails about a holiday lunch for thirty, a regular asks whether the patio heaters are back, and a farm you buy produce from wants to swap Tuesday deliveries for Wednesday. An agent would line up three separate drafts overnight, each matched to its sender, so the morning before service starts with quick approvals rather than a pile of unanswered threads competing with prep lists.

Only email-and-draft agents would be offered in the trial. Any agent in this storefront that uses website chat, texts or calls would not be part of the trial. Reservation lines and walk-in hosting would stay exactly as you run them today.

The storefront is coming soon. Listings would appear only after they pass review, and each would describe its scope in plain terms before you decide anything.

Catering leads often arrive during the dinner rush. Having polished drafts ready by closing time would let those leads get a considered response the same night.

Typical inbox topics for a dining room include private room capacity, corkage questions, gift certificate balances, donation requests from local schools and job-site lunch orders for nearby offices. A drafting agent would sort each into a reply that restates the question, adds the facts you have written down, and flags anything it cannot answer, such as whether a specific Saturday is still open, so the final word on bookings and menus remains with the owner or manager.
